About Our School

At Albert F. Biella Elementary, learning experiences are created with our students in mind. We believe that everyone can learn, unlearn, and grow to become whatever they choose to be.

Our team is dedicated to the task and challenge of providing the highest level of quality education. Biella teachers are all accomplished, and focused on the needs of each and every student. This is made possible by strong partnerships that are developed with our parents and community. Classroom volunteers, Parent Teacher Association (PTA) events, assemblies, field trips, and community partners provide meaningful opportunities for all of our students.

We believe that in order to meet the needs of our students we must support them through a variety of programs and activities. Biella’s counseling team supports a site-wide Social Emotional Learning program to build skills needed to be successful both at school and at home. Our site garden anchors our commitment to service learning opportunities and environmentally conscientious students.  Our sixth graders develop advanced programming skills through coding and robotics. After school enrichment opportunities such as basketball, soccer, and Boys & Girls Club provide care for our working families who need additional support.

As a collaborative community, we nurture creative confidence, learning through inquiry, global connection, using technology and real world tools, and promoting the courage and growth mindset necessary to change the world.
